WEEK 12

Presentation Week.
 This week All the student need to present their project.

On 3.00 p.m wednesday (week 12), all FYP1 student have to present their proposal of proposed project. Each student are access by two assessor randomly. I has been assess by Sir MUHYI YAAKOB and AZMAN B. ABDUL AZIZ @ YUSOF from electronic section. Alhamdulillah everything was fine and the presentation run smoothly.

WEEK 9


finding the suitable current transducer.

to measured current of the motor i used this type of transducer name LTS25.


the operation principle is the wire is need to be put inside the hole of the transducer and its will measured the current trough the wire and give an output value in voltage and can be read bu MCU through the analog to digital converter. and this transducer is only need 5 volt to active the transducer.

WEEK 7

study about the wiring diagram of switching in my own car.
the power windows in not operating when the switch is in off and ACC mode. through this diagram the power windows current transducer will be put at the blue wire to measured the current through the motor. the above diagram is the wiring diagram for Proton Wira and the most common wiring diagram for almost car used today.



above diagram is show how the mechanical part inside the switch and the connection of wire.

WEEK 6

this week i need do Feasibility study. First of all what is Feasibility study

  1. What the device is to do?
  2. Is the project feasible?
  3. Ensure the project can, in fact be accomplished

the first step we need to know what is this device to do. through this i have made a block diagram for the program. its is easy to use Microsoft visio to sketch block diagram.




the operation is when the switch of the power windows is press up the current sensor will detect the current and if its is above 4A the windows is commanded to go down a bit while if is is detect below then 4 A the windows will continued to go up. for the switch down there is direct order to go down the windows.

WEEK 4


Title: Project titles confirmation



This week all student need to conform the tittle of final year project and my Project is Development of power windows safety systems.


Project summary:

Power window for car is design to make the driver and passengers easy to slide down the car glass window with only pressing power windows switch. However there have disadvantages such as the power window stuck and malfunctioning due to the mechanical and electrical part. Power windows also not suitable to be used for child therefore the power windows is improving the design so that can be control only by the drivers and not for the child.
                In this final year project the power window looking forward to improving the design so that it is more convenient to be used and have more safety precaution.  



When the power window switch is press the power window motor is move to the direction the user press. The characteristic of this motor is when it have heavier load the current flowing through the motor is getting high. The power windows motor will be damage or less power when it’s operating in heavy load due to the mechanical part of the power windows, when this happen the life time of the power windows motor will be less because of the hot temperature of the motor due to high current flow to the motor.  
Therefore the basic operation to improve the power windows is connecting the power window motor to the MCU. When the power windows is stuck by something or have more loaded then usual the MCU directing the motor to give a chance to remove the anything that disturbs the windows before it closed.  In the same time is more convenient and safety to the child to used the power window. Other than that the time to service and put a lube to the mechanical part will make the longer life time to the motor and overall mechanism of the power window.

Budak 3 Tahun Mati Tersepit Di Tingkap Kereta
Suatu kemalangan yang tragik telah berlaku di Jubali, Arab Saudi apabila seorang kanak-kanak
berumur 3 tahun terbunuh ketika ditinggalkan bersendirian di dalam kereta.


Kejadian berlaku apabila bapa kanak-kanak itu meninggalkannya berkeseorangan di
dalam kereta untuk ke kedai runcit berhampiran. Malangnya kereta itu dibiarkan
tanpa dimatikan enjinnya.

Apabila kembali ke kereta, bapa malang itu terkejut melihat anaknya mati dengan keadaan
leher tersepit pada tingkap kenderaan itu.

kanak-kanak lelaki itu dipercayai menjengukkan kepala ke luar tingkap
untuk melihat ke luar. Malangnya, tanpa sedar kakinya telah tertekan butang
automatik untuk menaikkan tingkap. Dan lehernya tersepit sehingga menemui maut.

in this day i go to Ismail Adam room to discuss about Final Year Project and he proposed me his project to be develop which is Power Windows safety system for vehicle. I agree with this Project because it is very awesome.

WEEK 2



In this week all student seeking for the suitable lectures to be a supervisor and i have choose Sir Ismail Bin Adam as my supervisor to guide my in developing my project since he is very professional in programming in our college. 


in this week my mission is only to find my supervisor.


First day: (Monday)

I go to Ismail Adam room and ask him to be my supervisor for my final year project.
because of I am electrical student i cannot take him as my supervisor because Ismail Bin Adam is in electronic section so i need to arrange my schedule to get permission form head of section of FYP.

WEEK 1



All students may choose the titles that are offered by lecturers (FYP supervisors) or come out with own ideas. Firstly decided to choose my own titles for the fyp from my own ideas.

The titles that are choose can be seen at the FYP website which is http://fyp.bmi.unikl.edu.my/ I read through the list of the titles and each synopsis of the project so that I can understand the requirement and criteria needed to complete the project.

The first week basically is about the briefing of the FYP 1. The briefing was conducted in Gemilang Hall and the attendance of all the student that are taking the FYP 1 was compulsory.

The briefing was conducted by Madam Nulida Bt Ab.Aziz,and Sir Mohd Syazwan B Mohd Yid.

In the briefing, the FYP committees have briefed us about :
  •          Introduction
  •          Objectives
  •          Credits and duration
  •          Scope of projects
  •          Title selection
  •          Project Assessment
  •          Presentation day
  •          Submission date of project


The students were required to carefully select the title of the project. For degree students, the title must reflect the capability and knowledge of a degree student. Students may select the titles that are offered by lecturers (FYP supervisors) or come out with own ideas.
